Somewhere on the way down from Chiquito pass we passed a group of hikers returning to the TH. They we returning two days early from a camping trip to Chain Lakes, and we telling us bloody stories about mosquitoe attacks. One of the women asked if we had our head nets. Paige nodded, while I said "what is a head net?" She looked at me with horror, reached into her pocket, and said - "Here! Take this! I am giving you two, you are going to need it". There were few mosquitoes on the trail, but we assumed that the group was just overly sensitive. I applogized for that thought many time later in the trip, mostly while wearing the good woman's gift on my head...


Narazili jsme na skupinku, která prchala před komáry od jezera které mělo být naším posledním tábořištěm. Jedna z dívek se ptala, máme-li síť na hlavu proti komárům. Paige přikývla, já se zeptala jakou síť na hlavu? Dívka se na mě podívala s děsem, sáhla do kapsy a nacpala mi do batohu dvě se slovy - nech si je, budeš je potřebovat! To byla věstecká slova...
