We saw many dead trees at this section of the trail. Some were left after the fire in 1999 (I think), but the really sad look was at oaks fallen to the sudden oak death. Big trees tipping over like they had no roots.

Oblast požáru v 1999, oheň zanechal stojící mrtvé stromy. Další padly za oběť houbové nákaze podobné českým druhem ulmus (lesáci - může někdo pomoci s českým jménem???). Viděli jsme vyvrácené stromy zcela bez kořenů. Našli jsme na jednom místě cedulku - Tady nestanujte, padají stromy.
