Donohue Pass - our most abicious dostination for tonight. Or somewhere on the way there....
We didnt' start our hike until late. When we got the permit station at 6:30, the line was around the corner. By the time it was our turn, the only available TH was Glen Aulin. We took it with disappointment and moved to the store to finally get our morning coffee. It was there that the guy who was in the line behind us reminded us that there are also cancelations at 10 am. So at 10, Barbara and I were back at the ranger station, and now out choice number 1,2,3 and 4 were all open! We picked Lyell Canyon, and of we went.
