Yosemite trip - July 20-22, 2012

A fun and little strange backpacking trip, because we backpacked, then drove, and then backpacked some more. Nick, Rich and I left Thursday afternoon and slept off Evergreen Road. We were in line for a permit bright and early, but the only available trailhead was for Murphy Creek, so we took it. We camped at Polly Dome Lake and scrambled to the top of Tuolumne Peak (sort of, anyway) that afternon. We hiked out to meet up with Barbara Saturday morning. We ended up chasing her in her Prius through Yosemite, and then pulled into a parking space right behind her, to everybody's surprise. Then we hiked from Olmstead Point to Snow Creek Falls, played in the water, enjoyed the views, and returned back on Sunday.

45 My spam was not terribly popular, except for the entertainment value. their loss - it was really good with my curried lentils. Všichni povinně museli ochutnat můj spam - lunch meat, ale záhy pohrdli. Jejich ztráta, moc dobré s čočkou.

85 I was swimming back and forth to cool my injury of the day, sliding down a granite slab on my butt... Everybody but Barbara got a scrape on this trip. Plavala jsem tam a zpátky abych chladila poranění dne, odřený zadek po zkouznutí na granitu.
